Yet again for consecutive year, Bhutan Postal Cooperation Limited has been recognized for its Express Mail Service (EMS). Bhutan Post received EMS Cooperative Customer Care Award for the year 2020. The Post had also received for the year 2019.

The general manager of Bhutan Post Jigme Tenzin said that it is a proud moment for the organization. He said that the Board and the management of Bhutan Post appreciate the consistent efforts and dedication of every postal employee in contributing towards receiving this recognition and maintaining the consistency. “We have been striving to achieve it,” and “trust employees to put in renewed efforts during this difficult time to serve the Tsa Wa Sum,” he said.

EMS – the Express Mail Service – is a global brand designating the postal product with the fastest delivery. Posts in around 200 countries and territories worldwide offer this premium end-to-end service for documents and merchandise.

Throughout the pandemic EMS operators worked to keep businesses and customers connected to the world. As more choose to shop online, providing excellent customer care is more important than it has ever been.

In 2020, 15 designated EMS operators have won awards for their work taking EMS customer care to a higher level by providing an excellent service to support their international partners.

The winners of the 2020 EMS customer care awards are Algeria, Bhutan, Bulgaria (Rep.), Cambodia, Cape Verde, China (People’s Rep.), Egypt, Georgia, Macao (China), Malaysia, North Macedonia, Norway, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Viet Nam.

The EMS customer care awards are calculated using measurements based on EMS Cooperative members’ customer service performance. EMS customer care awards are only awarded to EMS member postal operators who achieve the high standards set out in the EMS Cooperative’s Business Plan.

According to the International Postal Express Network, the achievements of the winning 15 EMS operators are even more remarkable as the EMS Cooperative moved in July 2020 to the new UPU customer care system, i-Care, the sole customer care system to be used for EMS-related inquiries. The 2020 EMS customer care awards are based on the results of the i-Care system from 1 September to 31 December 2020.

The report states “All EMS Cooperative members are making continuous efforts to improve customer satisfaction, but these awards reward the 15 EMS operators that are excelling in this area. The efforts of all the EMS operators working throughout the pandemic should be recognized but special congratulations to the winners of the 2020 EMS customer care awards.”
