Kuenga Tashi joins the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as the new secretary general

Kuenga Tashi has been serving as an adjunct professor under the Department of Arts and Humanities in Sherubtse College in Kanglung

Kuenga Tashi joins the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as the new secretary general on 20 July. Tashi has been serving as an adjunct professor under the Department of Arts and Humanities in Sherubtse College in Kanglung. Prior to that, he has been serving as a journalist at the Bhutan Broadcasting Service (BBS).

The former Secretary General, Jigme Zangpo, will continue to serve the PDP as one of the main leaders in the advisory committee. 

At the appointment ceremony in presence of the president, vice president, former secretary general, candidates, and supporters of the PDP,   Kuenga said, “As I take over the role of the Secretary General of this foremost political party, I am both humbled and honored. And I am fully committed to work hard for the interest of PDP and the democratic values and practices of our beloved Kingdom.”
