Door-to-door service needs to be encouraged

In Bhutan door-to-door services are not that common, but now due to the Covid-19 its importance has become more pronounced. Actually these services are not only during pandemic period but also very much essential to the urban outlets and dwellers whereby such facilities are unavoidable due to limited time.

Till date, what the Bhutanese people feels is that people are lazy to do their own work by themselves without realizing the spread of diseases and time factors. Because in this modern world through transport or shipping arrangement to ensure direct flow of goods from the exporter to the importer, that is from the point of origin to the point of sale, with minimum interruption and delay. It can also call house to house service which will have advantages over many activities at large.

As such, the Ministry of Labour and Human Resources and Thromdes in the country along with the Bhutan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (BCCI) and other related entrepreneurs must look as alternative opportunities for one’s livelihood.

Therefore, thinking of such plans to capture the business for good especially for those young graduates and dropout students must be welcomed and open to all professionals. The rates should be minimal as comparable to the market or even less so that public at large can afford it.  In order for the general public to opt for such services specially the grocery items as well as construction materials.

This is possible because they don’t have to stay in the core area and they can have storage at the different locations.

Just look at the pamphlet for information’s on varieties of items available such as milk, eggs, vegetables and then call for the supply at the door right from the source for one’s usage.

They must not be compromising the quality and freshness of the items which could be packed hygienically for good. As of now only cooking gas is being delivered at different locations which are being done at an affordable price.

Actually, not only one entrepreneur but there should be more of such so that public has choice depending on price and quality of services at large.
