In appreciation of desuups service to the nation, Le Meridien Thimphu will provide career opportunities and internship experiences to the Desuups who are undergoing “Desuup Skilling Program”.

This is also a part of its Marriott International’s companywide commitment to helping others and becoming a part of its family.

The hotel will give priority to the Desuups who are interested to join them whenever there are career opportunities at the hotel. “We believe in making the communities where we operate better places to live, work and visit.”

In addition, the hotel will also offer a 25 percent discount on food and soft beverages and swimming pool usage to all the Desuups wishing to avail themselves of the services. But they need to produce their Desuups identity card.

As a token of appreciation, the team also sponsored refreshments for the Desuups deployed at the Welcome gate, Thimphu on 8 July, who is currently working on beautifying the park and reconstructing the Choeten.

A press release from the hotel Le Meridien Thimphu stated that the selflessness and hard work of Desuups and the empathy of everyone coming together is truly inspirational. “They are heroes and deserve our love and support today and every day.”

“It is an honor to be a part of this beautiful event celebrating those working tirelessly through this difficult time,” it stated. “We are hopeful, that, our small gesture of appreciation will motivate them to work harder and keep serving the nation with full dedication.”

“As the entire Nation is slowly coming out of the pandemic and the tourism sector coming back to live, the Le Meridien Thimphu team would like to offer our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all the Desuups for their hard work and dedication during this difficult time.”
